Albertine Stahl goes to Cabo!
At the beggining of March, artist Albertine Stahl participated along artist Fanel Reyes in a collective residency project at the Hotel Me Cabo called Woman is Art. The project invited both artists to create a piece of art for the Hotel and the result was an incredible collaboration between the two, exploring and observing the hotel surroundings and architecture to find a perspective that allowed a new image to emerge, focusing on the curves and soft edges of the building and its ammenities. The final piece is a set of 9 panels that can be arrange in different positions to create new paintings everytime, giving art also the power to speak and play with the audiences and most of all, to the workers of the hotel. Architecture is supposed to be rigid and permanent, it is supposed to change only through perspective, but the artists in this collaboration created a way to play, change and transform architecture and images into infinite configurations.
