Karian Amaya is the next resident artist at Casa Wabi!

Mexican artist Karian Amaya was invited to be the next artist in residency at the prestigious Oaxaca residency from May 10 to June 20th. During the residency, Amaya has explore the dessertic landscape of Oaxaca with her usual materials of cooper and marble. The rocky and dry space is the perfect scenario to connect the residency experience with her work, which explores her father’s job as a miner and the active extractivism happening in Mexico now.
